Panic Attack Cures
When it comes to Panic attacks and anxiety, over 20 percent of the adult American population suffers from these attacks or more than 60 million people have had panic attacks of one form or another. Panic attacks can come suddenly, unprovoked, and if not attended to these attacks can disrupt a persons health. For these reasons taking a closer look at panic attack cures and finding ways to stop panic attacks is a must.
Phobias and Fears
Panic does not start out as a physical ailment. It begins as a thought, or feeling. These are encompassed in the category of phobias or fears. Each person can have a different trigger which sets panic off. For some people crowds perpetuate a fear of crowded places, for others just normal traffic on the highway is enough to prevent them from wanting to drive.
When just the thought prevents someone from doing these things that are normal activities then the person is considered to have a panic disorder or agoraphobia.
To manage or stop panic attacks a review of ones diet is in order. Coffee, alcohol, caffeine, anything that stimulates can provoke a panic attack and should be limited or discontinued.
Exercise, like aerobics or yoga, should be considered an option to relieve anxiety and stress. The reason that these simple techniques are useful home cures is because panic increases the heart rate, it constricts the arteries. To counter balance these reactions the above mentioned exercises will relax the arterial system. Now aerobics will increase the heart rate, but this is an accelerating increase not a damaging constrictive condition resulting from panic.
There is one precaution to be aware of, sometimes an actual heart attach can be confused with a panic attack. This is why it is always advisable to see a Doctor when this condition occurs, a Doctor can definitely validate the problem.
Hypnosis
Now because phobias and fears are mentally induced, hypnosis has become a viable panic attack cure. The key here is for the hypnotherapist to find the root cause and then diffuse this through the hypnotherapy process. Basically, this process involves either blocking the thought or refocusing the trigger with other thoughts. In cases where someone truly has a physical ailment that directly causes panic attacks the use of hypnosis may not have the desired affect.
These are just a few options used today to mange and cure panic attacks. This is a condition that must not be ignored, the problem with ignoring it and hoping it will just go away is it probably won't.
